Causling

Terms of Service

Effective date: August 3, 2026 · Version tos_v3_2026-08-03

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Causling mobile app and related services ("Service"). By creating an account, using the Service, or tapping to accept, you agree to these Terms.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Causling. They include our Privacy Policy and other in-product policies we publish.

2. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account.

3. Platform purpose

Causling is a for-profit platform for causes and community participation. Causling is not a charity and does not provide tax advice.

4. Monthly Vote Access

Voting requires Monthly Vote Access for the current UTC calendar month only. Access includes one advisory vote on that month’s board unless the app explicitly states otherwise. Advisory votes are community signaling on Causling; they are not donations and do not create a charitable contribution.

Vote Access is a one-time in-app purchase for that UTC month. It is not a subscription, does not auto-renew, and unused access does not carry over to a later month. Access is tied to the purchaser’s Causling account and is non-transferable. See also How Vote Access works.

5. Purchases, billing, and UTC windows

In-app purchases are processed by Apple (and, where offered, other third-party app stores such as Google) under their store terms. Causling does not issue refunds for Monthly Vote Access. If Apple (or another store) grants a refund, Causling revokes remaining Vote Access for that UTC month; a vote already cast stays recorded.

At UTC month boundaries, purchases and voting may be briefly unavailable while entitlements reconcile.

6. Cause and community content

Users may create and share cause/community content subject to moderation and product limits. We may rank, delay, label, or remove content that violates policy.

7. User content license

You keep ownership of content you submit, but grant Causling a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, distribute, and improve Service features using that content.

8. Community standards

You must not post unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or rights-infringing content, and must not manipulate voting, abuse automation, or bypass platform safeguards.

9. Moderation and enforcement

We may review and enforce at our discretion, including warnings, removals, suspensions, or account termination. Enforcement timing and outcomes are not guaranteed.

10. Intellectual property and DMCA

Service software, branding, and platform materials are owned by Causling or its licensors. Copyright notices and counter-notices should be sent to Contact@Causling.com. Formal DMCA agent designation and mailing address will be published here when finalized; until then use that address for copyright concerns.

11. Third-party services

Your use of Apple, Google, AWS, and identity providers is also governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, or any specific cause/community outcome.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Causling is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Aggregate liability is limited to the greater of USD $100 or what you paid for Monthly Vote Access in the prior six months.

14. Dispute resolution

Disputes are governed by Texas law and should first go through informal resolution at Contact@Causling.com. Unless prohibited by law, disputes are resolved by individual arbitration, with class-action waiver. Arbitration mailing details will be published when finalized; until then use that same address.

15. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may update these Terms, change features, or suspend/terminate access when needed for safety, legal compliance, or platform integrity. You may delete your account in the app (Settings → Account).

16. Contact and legal notices

Contact Contact@Causling.com for DMCA notices and dispute correspondence until dedicated agent/mailing details are published.
